
The Kano State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Director of FM, Kano State Radio Corporation, Hajiya Habiba Abubakar.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, conveyed the condolences of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to the management and staff of Kano State Radio Corporation, members of the media community, and the family of the deceased.
The Commissioner described the late Hajiya Habiba as a dedicated, hardworking, and humble media professional who served the corporation with commitment, integrity, and distinction throughout her career.
According to Waiya, the deceased made significant contributions to the development of broadcasting and information dissemination in Kano State, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, diligence, and selfless service.
He noted that her passing is a great loss not only to her immediate family and colleagues but also to the entire media industry in Kano State, where her experience, dedication, and exemplary service will be greatly missed.

Waiya prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, and give her family, friends, and associates the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Hajiya Habiba Abubakar was widely respected within the media industry for her commitment to public service and her invaluable contributions to the growth of broadcasting in Kano State.
She passed away after a brief illness.
