Governor Abba Urges Commissioners to Remain Loyal, Protect Government Secrets
Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has urged his commissioners to remain dedicated to their duties and strictly safeguard government secrets rather than creating divisions or fueling conflicts among political groups.
The governor made the call during the 38th Kano State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House in Kano.
He expressed his best wishes to commissioners who are no longer part of the administration. However, he cautioned those still serving in the government to avoid leaking official secrets or attempting to create divisions between members of the former and current political alignments.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf further explained that since the recent political changes, the Executive Council had not convened until this latest meeting, despite several significant events that occurred during the period. Among them were the devastating fire outbreak at Singer Market, which destroyed goods worth millions of naira, and the deaths of two councillors from Ungogo and Birni Local Government Areas, alongside other important developments.
The governor also received an award of recognition from the Kano State Ministry of Health for his efforts in combating urinary schistosomiasis and leprosy in the state.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, presented the award to the governor.
