The Kano State Government has denied allegations that it paid for projects that were never executed, describing the claim as baseless and unsupported by evidence.
The State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, made the clarification during a press briefing, stressing that there was no credible evidence to establish that the government paid for projects that were not implemented.
According to the Commissioner, the report on which the allegation was based, concerning the implementation of the state’s budget in the final quarter of 2025, did not contain any evidence proving that payments were made for unexecuted projects.
Waiya therefore urged members of the public to disregard the allegation, assuring that the Kano State Government remains committed to transparency, accountability and responsible management of public resources.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to providing accurate information to the public and ensuring that government projects and expenditures are subjected to appropriate scrutiny.
