President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory in the just-concluded Osun State governorship election, describing the outcome as a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in Nigeria.
President Tinubu said he had earlier called Governor Adeleke to congratulate him on his re-election, noting that the victory reaffirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in his leadership.
“I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years,” the President said.
He urged Governor Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to unite the people of Osun State and mobilise them towards growth, stability, and social and economic progress, irrespective of their political choices during the election.
President Tinubu also commended the courage and discipline demonstrated by the other contestants, saying their participation contributed to strengthening Nigeria’s democratic culture.
“The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land,” he said.
The President further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
