Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside Hybrid Forces, have disrupted a suspected terrorist logistics network with the arrest of five suspected logistics suppliers during a routine security operation in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The operation, which took place at about 1:30 p.m. on July 20, 2026, led to the interception of suspects transporting a large consignment of veterinary and medical supplies without the required waybill or supporting documentation.
According to military authorities, the recovered items included 491 cartons of Albe Stark 2.5% dewormer, 100 cartons of multivitamin injections for animals, 32 cartons of Diclofenac Sodium Injection, 58 cartons of Benzylpenicillin Sodium BP, six cartons of Dexamethasone Injection, and 51 cartons of Metronidazole Intravenous Infusion.
Troops also recovered 30 units of 80-inch LG plasma televisions, 152 empty Bagco sacks, and seven mobile phones from the suspects.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the consignment was reportedly destined for a vendor in N’Djamena, Chad Republic, while part of the concealed medical supplies was allegedly scheduled to be transferred into another truck near the Nigeria–Chad border in what investigators believe was an attempt to evade security checks.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the 24 Task Force Brigade for further investigation.
Military authorities described the interception as another significant success in Operation HADIN KAI’s ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist logistics and support networks across the North-East. The operation, they said, is aimed at denying terrorist groups access to supplies and resources that could sustain their activities.
The military also advised pharmaceutical distributors, transporters, healthcare providers, humanitarian organisations, and other stakeholders operating within the North-East to ensure that all bulk medical, pharmaceutical, and agrochemical consignments are properly documented and, where necessary, coordinated with the appropriate military authorities before movement.
Operation HADIN KAI further appealed to members of the public to remain vigilant and continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies, stressing that public cooperation remains critical to disrupting terrorist logistics networks and sustaining peace, security, and stability across the region.
