The Zamfara State Government has received with deep sorrow the news of the death of three courageous police officers who paid the supreme sacrifice while carrying out their constitutional duties in the service of our state and nation.
On behalf of the Government and people of Zamfara State, His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, extends heartfelt condolences to the Inspector-General of Police, the Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Command, the entire Nigeria Police Force, and the families of the late SP Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, Officer in Charge of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit, Inspector Auwal Ahmad, and Inspector Murtala Musa.
The Government recognizes the immense sacrifices being made by security personnel in the ongoing fight against banditry and other criminal activities. The fallen officers demonstrated uncommon courage, patriotism, and dedication to duty, laying down their lives in the service of humanity and the protection of innocent citizens. Their sacrifice will forever be remembered and honored.

The Zamfara State Government shares in the grief of their families and prays Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings, grant them eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, and provide their loved ones, colleagues, and the entire Nigeria Police Force with the strength to bear this painful loss.
The Government wishes to reassure the Inspector-General of Police, security agencies, and the people of Zamfara State that security remains the administration’s foremost priority. Under the leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal, the state government will continue to take all necessary measures and provide the required support to security agencies to strengthen ongoing efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace and security across the state.
We also call on the good people of Zamfara State and Nigerians at large to continue offering prayers and support for our security personnel and for the successful end of insecurity in Zamfara State and Nigeria as a whole. Through collective efforts, unity, and sustained commitment, we shall overcome the security challenges confronting our communities.
May the souls of the departed officers rest in perfect peace.
