Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Executive Chairman of Sokoto South Local Government, Malam Ya’u Muhammad Danda, has received a staunch activist and Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rijiyar Dorawa ‘A Ward and Sokoto South ADC Ward Chairmen Forum, Alhaji Aminu Shala.
Malam Ya’u Danda described Aminu Shala’s return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a major victory, noting that he is a dedicated activist with his own political wisdom and a significant loss to the ADC.
The Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Aminu Rijiya, also described the impact of Aminu Shala’s return home on the politics of Rijiyar Dorawa ‘A Ward.
While explaining the reason for his return to the APC, Alhaji Aminu Shala said his love for Sokoto South LGA, the high-level appointments given to the indigenes of this LGA by His Excellency, the Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, PhD, and the ongoing developmental projects in Sokoto State are what motivated him to leave the ADC for the APC, “Nasara”.
At the event were the APC Chairman of Sokoto South, Malam Hayatu Muhammad; the Deputy Chairman of Sokoto South LGA, Hon. Faruk Garba Soka; the Sub-Treasurer of Sokoto State, Malam Aminu Sani Liman; Elders of Rijiyar Dorawa ‘A Ward; LGA Excos; politicians; and businessmen.
