
The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has attended an event organised by the Youth Awareness and Development Forum, where he was honoured in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and community development.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Comrade Waiya expressed his profound appreciation to the leadership and members of the organisation for the honour bestowed on him. He commended the Forum for its commitment to youth enlightenment, educational development and the empowerment of young people.
The Commissioner reiterated the importance of youth development in building a progressive and prosperous society, stressing that young people remain critical stakeholders in the development and future of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
Comrade Waiya assured the organisation of his continued support and cooperation in its programmes and activities aimed at improving the lives of young people and promoting the overall development of society.
As part of his support for the activities of the Forum, the Commissioner announced a donation of One Million Naira (₦1,000,000) to assist the organisation in carrying out its developmental programmes.
He stated that the recognition would further motivate and encourage him to remain committed to public service and continue contributing his quota towards the development of the youth and the society.
