Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has dismissed as false and politically motivated reports suggesting that he has defected to the New Democratic Congress (NDC), reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the ruling party.
In a statement issued by his Chief of Staff and former Kano State Commissioner for Information, Comrade Muhammad Garba, Ganduje described the posters circulating on social media as a deliberate campaign of misinformation aimed at misleading the public, creating confusion among APC members, and fueling unnecessary political speculation.
The former Kano State governor declared that he is not a politician who moves from one party to another for personal gain, saying he is “not a vulture flying from one tree to another” in pursuit of political convenience.

According to the statement, Ganduje has remained steadfast in his political convictions and has never considered leaving the APC, a party he once served as its National Chairman.
He described claims linking him to the NDC as not only false but also illogical, insisting that there is no political or logical basis for such allegations.
Ganduje maintained that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest and most formidable political party, enjoying increasing national acceptance while consolidating its position under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The statement further alleged that those behind the fake posters have been identified and warned that unless they immediately withdraw the defamatory materials and cease further circulation, legal action would be taken against them.
He called on APC members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the posters entirely, stressing that they do not represent his political position or intentions.
The former APC National Chairman also reaffirmed his commitment to working with President Tinubu and the party leadership to consolidate the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda and strengthen the APC ahead of future political engagements.
The statement urged the public to rely only on official communications from Dr. Ganduje and the appropriate organs of the APC regarding his political activities.
