Kano State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, has described the Community Reorientation Council (CRC) as a key grassroots structure saddled with responsibilities in schools feeding programmes, renovations, support for early childhood education, rehabilitation of hospitals, water projects and other community development interventions across the state.
The Deputy Governor stated this today Thursday while receiving CRC leaders from the 44 local government areas of Kano State, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office to congratulate him on his emergence as Deputy Governor and to extend Sallah greetings.
“I appreciate this visit and the opportunity to meet with old partners. I recognize your efforts in feeding programmes, schools renovations, support for early childhood education, rehabilitation of hospitals, water projects and other community development initiatives” he said.
He commended the Council for complementing government efforts in delivering social services and improving livelihoods at the community level.
Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo assured the delegation that their concerns would be conveyed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Kano State Government will address them soon.
