The Kano Online Media Chapel (KOMC), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kano State Council, has congratulated the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Kano State, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, on the successful completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Abubakar Abdulkadir Dangambo, and the Secretary, Isiyaku Ahmed, the leadership and entire membership of KOMC described the academic achievement as a significant milestone in the Commissioner’s professional and public service career.
The Chapel noted that Waiya’s successful completion of the doctoral programme demonstrated his commitment to continuous learning, intellectual development and excellence in public service.
According to the statement, achieving the academic feat while simultaneously discharging the demanding responsibilities of his office reflects commendable discipline, leadership, sound administrative judgment and dedication to the advancement of knowledge.
KOMC expressed confidence that the knowledge and research experience gained through the PhD programme would further strengthen the Commissioner’s capacity in strategic policy coordination, evidence-based decision-making, effective administration and constructive engagement with stakeholders.
The Chapel also commended Waiya for recognising the media as a critical stakeholder in public administration and democratic governance, particularly through efforts aimed at strengthening government-media relations and professional communication in Kano State.
The organisation prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the Commissioner greater wisdom, strength and success as he continues to serve the people of Kano State.
KOMC further wished Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya greater achievements and opportunities to contribute to the development of Kano State and Nigeria.
The Chapel reiterated its heartfelt congratulations to the Commissioner on what it described as a well-deserved academic accomplishment.
