The event brought together prominent Islamic scholars, Qur’anic reciters and memorizers, who offered special prayers for lasting peace, stability and prosperity in Kano State.
Among the distinguished scholars in attendance were the Sarkin Malaman Dorayi, Malam Sani Tilo, Malam Dauda Lokon Makera, alongside other respected Islamic clerics and Huffaz.
Speaking during the occasion, the Chairman of the Tinubu Abba Grassroots Counselors Forum, Hon. Kabiru Maraska, said the forum was fully committed to mobilising grassroots support towards ensuring the electoral success of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He explained that members of the forum would continue to work collectively at the grassroots level to strengthen public support for the Governor and promote the policies, programmes and achievements of the Kano State Government.
In his remarks, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the forum for organising the spiritual gathering, describing prayers as an important instrument for seeking divine guidance, peace and progress.
The Commissioner emphasised the need for unity and peaceful political engagement among residents and political stakeholders, stressing that Kano State’s collective interest must remain paramount.
Waiya noted that the government was aware of activities by certain individuals aimed at creating division and misunderstanding between the government and the people.
He stated that the appropriate time would come for the public to clearly understand and identify those behind actions capable of undermining unity and peaceful coexistence in the state.
The Commissioner therefore called on political leaders, grassroots representatives, religious leaders and members of the public to remain united and committed to peace and the continued development of Kano State.
He reiterated that cooperation and unity among all stakeholders remain critical to sustaining the developmental strides of the present administration and ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for the people of Kano State.
At the end of the event, Comrade Waiya offered prayers for Almighty Allah to accept the supplications made, grant Kano State lasting peace and progress, and continue to guide its leaders in the service of the people.
