The newly posted Permanent Secretary of the Kano State Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs, Alhaji Tshoho Aliyu Rogo, has assumed duty with a commitment to work closely with the Commissioner and staff of the ministry to improve service delivery and support the implementation of the policies and programmes of the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Alhaji Tshoho Aliyu Rogo formally assumed duty during a reception organised to welcome him to the ministry, where the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, assured him of the ministry’s full support and cooperation in the discharge of his responsibilities.
Speaking at the occasion, Comrade Waiya congratulated the new Permanent Secretary on his appointment and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience and dedication as a civil servant would contribute significantly to the effective administration and development of the ministry.
The Commissioner noted that the ministry had maintained a cordial working relationship among its staff, stressing that the commitment, experience and dedication of the workforce would provide the new Permanent Secretary with the necessary support to effectively perform his duties.
He disclosed that the ministry currently has eight departments, in addition to a newly created department established to strengthen its operations and enhance effective service delivery to the people of Kano State.
Waiya further explained that the ministry has a broad network of stakeholders involved in information dissemination, public enlightenment and the promotion of government policies and programmes.
He stressed the need to strengthen collaboration with such stakeholders to ensure that accurate and timely information on government activities reaches the people of the state.
The Commissioner assured the new Permanent Secretary that the ministry would continue to operate as a team, noting that the collective experience, commitment and dedication of its staff remained critical to achieving the objectives of the ministry and the present administration.
In his remarks, the new Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Tshoho Aliyu Rogo, expressed appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for finding him worthy of the appointment.
He pledged to work tirelessly with the Commissioner and staff of the ministry to support the government in achieving its objectives and delivering quality services to the people of Kano State.
Alhaji Rogo also promised to operate an open-door policy while promoting teamwork, transparency and effective communication to ensure efficient service delivery.
He called on all staff of the ministry to accord him maximum support and cooperation, stressing that collective efforts were essential to the successful implementation of the ministry’s mandate.
The new Permanent Secretary was accompanied by family members, friends, colleagues and well-wishers during his assumption of duty.
