KANO Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has said that his administration has fulfilled approximately 90 percent of the promises made to the people of Kano State during the 2023 election campaign.
Speaking as his administration marked three years in office, the governor said his government has made significant progress in delivering projects and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and accelerating development across the state.
According to him, substantial achievements have been recorded in critical sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, water resources, urban renewal, and social development.
The governor pointed to the construction and rehabilitation of roads, the provision of modern streetlights, the renovation of schools and healthcare facilities, and investments in water supply projects as evidence of his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate.
He noted that the government’s development agenda was designed to address long-standing challenges facing the state while creating opportunities for economic growth and improved public service delivery.
“Approximately 90 percent of the campaign promises we made to the people of Kano State have been fulfilled. We remain committed to completing the remaining objectives and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every part of the state,” Yusuf said.
The governor further assured residents that ongoing projects would be completed within the remaining period of his tenure, adding that his administration would continue to prioritize policies that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens.
Observers say the administration’s third anniversary provides an opportunity to assess its performance and the extent to which it has delivered on the expectations of the electorate.
With one year left in its first term, the Kano State Government says it remains focused on consolidating achievements already recorded and implementing the remaining aspects of its development agenda.
