Hon. Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has continued to attract attention through his involvement in public service, government communication and political engagement in Kano State.
Since assuming office, Comrade Waiya has been actively involved in efforts to strengthen public information management and enhance communication between the Kano State Government and the people.
Through public engagements, media interactions and stakeholder consultations, the Commissioner has contributed to communicating government policies, programmes and activities to the public. His accessibility and participation in public discourse have also provided opportunities for engagement on issues concerning the state.
Beyond his official responsibilities, Comrade Waiya has maintained an active presence in political and grassroots activities. His engagements with stakeholders and various groups have provided avenues for dialogue, consultation and coalition-building around issues of public and political interest.
His role as Commissioner combines the responsibilities of public information management with the need for effective engagement with citizens and stakeholders. These responsibilities make communication, dialogue and public enlightenment important aspects of his service.
As the administration of Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf continues to implement its programmes and policies, Comrade Waiya remains part of the government’s broader communication and engagement structure.
His contributions will continue to be assessed through the effectiveness of public communication, stakeholder engagement and the impact of the Ministry of Information and Internal Affairs in keeping citizens informed about government activities.
