The Kano State Government has condemned the attack on Pyramid FM journalists covering the recently concluded APC convention in the state.
Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, pledged government support for the victims, including payment of their hospital bills and renovation of the station’s damaged vehicle.
Waiya urged security agencies to investigate, arrest and prosecute those responsible.
Pyramid FM management and the NUJ Kano Council commended the government’s intervention and called for stronger measures to protect journalists.
