Falgore Congratulates Muslim Ummah on New Year, Renews Commitment to Legislative Responsibility
The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, extends warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, 1448 AH.
In a statement released by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Speaker described the New Year as a time for reflection, forgiveness and gratitude. He urged Muslim faithful to remain steadfast in remembering Allah in all deeds and duties.
As the month of Muharram begins, Falgore prayed that the people of Kano find strength to face hardships with ease and that the New Year be a prosperous journey marked by success in this world and the hereafter. He called on citizens to resist temptation and to seek protection from evil.

Falgore said, “On behalf of the Kano State House of Assembly, we wish you a New Year of blessings, renewed faith, and greater love for one another. May Allah bless the Muslim Ummah and make 1448 AH a year of spiritual elevation, inner peace and stability.”
The Speaker also reaffirmed the Assembly’s unwavering commitment to its legislative responsibilities and assured the people of Kano of the lawmakers’ dedication to enacting laws that bring positive change and improve living standards across the state.
Falgore thanked His Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf for his continued commitment to Kano’s development and extended his best wishes to the Governor on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.
