The Kano State Government has announced the resumption of the third phase of voter registration across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.
According to a public notice issued by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the exercise will commence from Monday, May 11, 2026, and run until Friday, June 10, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.
The government explained that the registration exercise is specifically targeted at citizens who have attained the age of 18, individuals who have not previously registered for a voter’s card, persons with damaged voter cards, as well as those seeking to transfer or change their polling units.
The statement urged eligible residents to take advantage of the opportunity and complete the registration process before the deadline expires.
The Kano State Government reiterated its commitment to encouraging citizens’ participation in the democratic process through inclusive voter registration and electoral awareness.
Citizens across the state have been advised to visit designated registration centres within their respective local government areas to participate in the exercise.
