The Kano State Government has reiterated its determination to complete major infrastructure projects across the state, announcing that the Dan’Agundi Flyover along BUK Road will be completed before the end of this month.
The government also gave a similar assurance regarding the Tal’udu Flyover, expressing confidence that both projects are progressing steadily and will be delivered as scheduled.
The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marwan Ahmed, disclosed this while addressing journalists following an inspection tour by a Federal Government delegation led by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication.
During the visit, Engineer Ahmed, alongside the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Abdullahi Waiya, and the Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Dahiru Hashim, assessed the progress of various ongoing projects, including the Wuju Wuju Road construction.
He revealed that the seven-kilometer Wuju Wuju Road project has recorded significant progress, with one kilometer already completed.
The commissioner further stated that the Kano State Government has sought support from the Federal Government to ensure timely completion of the remaining sections. In response, the Federal Government has earmarked over ₦40 billion from the Ecological Fund to support the project.
As part of the tour, the delegation also inspected newly developed cardiovascular healthcare facilities and ongoing upgrades at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. The team further reviewed the installation of a solar mini-grid at the hospital, aimed at improving power supply and enhancing healthcare service delivery.
In addition, the inspection team visited major healthcare facilities undergoing renovation, including the Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital and the Hasiya Bayero Pediatric Hospital, as part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen healthcare infrastructure.
The initiatives were highlighted as being in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which prioritizes infrastructure development, improved healthcare delivery, and sustainable energy solutions across the country.
The visit forms part of ongoing monitoring efforts aimed at ensuring quality execution and timely completion of projects across the state.
