Kano state government through ministry of information has organized a one day stakeholders engagement between CSOs and kano state government to chat a way forward on addressing phone snatching insecurity and other related challenges and socio economic development in the state.
The workshop is a motive towards finding various strategies and solutions in order to tackle the issues of insecurity in the state.
Commisioner of Information, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi waiya addressed the intervention of the government and the need to come together to find a solution to the worsening situation. In his remarks, he stated other initiatives for the development of the state. He added that the government are fully committed to implementing and addressing the issues.
The Hon. Commisioner Ministry for Procurement, Monitoring and Evaluation, Comrade Nura Iro Ma’aji also expressed concern over the lack of insecurity and other related factors of social menace in the state.
A brainstorming interactive session was held with the CSO members providing various insights, ideas, suggestions and strategies in respect of the topics discussed.
