
KANO – Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has inaugurated a high-powered committee to develop the blueprint for his 2027 governorship campaign, aimed at reviewing the implementation of the 2023 policy document, My Commitment for Kano, and producing a new Blueprint 2.0 to guide the administration’s second-term agenda.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Director General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
According to the statement, the committee will operate under the direct supervision of Governor Yusuf and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo. Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba will serve as Chairman, while Dr. Yusuf Ya’u Gambo, Executive Chairman of the Strategic Governance and Policy Coordination Office, will serve as Secretary.
The committee brings together experienced professionals and government officials drawn from key sectors, including health, education, agriculture, investment, information technology, research, governance, women development, and local government administration.

Its core assignment is to assess the implementation of the 2023 My Commitment for Kano blueprint, identify outstanding priorities, and integrate them into Blueprint 2.0, which will outline Governor Yusuf’s strategic vision and policy priorities for the 2027–2031 period.
The committee is also expected to consult widely with stakeholders from government, the private sector, civil society, academia, and other relevant groups to generate innovative ideas and practical policy recommendations. The goal is to produce a comprehensive, inclusive, and people-oriented blueprint that will consolidate the achievements of the current administration while advancing sustainable development across Kano State.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to long-term planning, accountability, and citizen participation in shaping the future development agenda of Kano State.
