The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry for Religious Affairs, Kano State, Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu, on behalf of the Kano State Government, extends warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah worldwide on the advent of the new Islamic Year, 1st Muharram, 1448 A.H.
The Commissioner conveys his goodwill to His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and his Cabinet, the Honourable Members of the Kano State House of Assembly, His Royal Highness the Emir of Kano, Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II, and the entire Muslim Ummah in Kano State and Nigeria at large. He prays to Almighty Allah for many more years of good health, peace, and prosperity for all.
Ahmad Tijjani Auwalu called on the good people of Kano State to remember the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in their prayers for sustained success in its mission to transform the State.
He further advised all eligible citizens to take part in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them discharge their civic responsibility.

The Commissioner concluded by urging residents to continue living in peace and harmony with one another, and to pray fervently for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria.
