
Commiserates With Govt, People of The State.
Vice President, Kashim Shettima, today led a high-powered delegation to attend the funeral prayer of the late Mai Ngazargamu Alh. Tijjani Ibn Saleh Geidam and to pay condolences to the Yobe State government on the demise of the late Emir.
This was contained in a statement signed by the DG press and media affairs to the Yobe state Governor,Mal Mamman Muhammad issued to newsmen.
It said Sen. Shettima said he was in the state to convey the condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the federal government to the government and people of the state over the demise of the monarch.

He described the loss of the Emir as a huge loss to the government and people of Yobe state and Nigeria in general.
“The late Mai Ngazargamu was a principled and learned leader whose interest was defined by the interest of his people.
“He will be missed for his wise counselling and rich knowledge which had been a source of inspiration to his community and beyond” the Vice President said.
Shettima also condoled the family of the late monarch and prayed for the repose of his soul and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Gov. Buni expressed appreciation of the government and people of Yobe state for the visit by the Vice President and the federal government for identifying with the state at this trying moment.
Buni assured the support of the government and the people to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government, and urged the people to continue praying for the government, peace, security and prosperity of the country.
Dignitaries on the entourage of the Vice President include, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe, Alh. Ibrahim Bunu and other top government functionaries.
