Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has presented a vehicle to a participant from the state who distinguished himself at the 2025 National Qur’anic Recitation Competition held in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The presentation ceremony took place on Saturday evening at the Government House in Katsina, where the governor commended the recipient for his exceptional performance and for upholding the state’s reputation at the prestigious national event.
Governor Radda reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting Islamic education and recognizing excellence among young people across the state. He emphasized that achievements in Qur’anic recitation play a vital role in fostering discipline, moral integrity, and community values.
“We will continue to support and encourage our youths to excel in Qur’anic recitation and other areas that build strong moral values in our society,” the governor stated.
He further urged other participants and aspiring reciters to intensify their efforts in future competitions, noting that Katsina State aims to achieve even greater success in subsequent editions.
“We expect even better performance in subsequent competitions, and I encourage all participants to remain dedicated and strive for excellence,” he added.
The gesture has been widely seen as part of the state government’s broader initiative to encourage academic and moral excellence, particularly in religious education.
