ABUJA, NIGERIA – China and Nigeria have reaffirmed their diplomatic and cultural ties through the 2025 Culture and Tourism Festival, held in Abuja over the weekend. The event showcased music, dance, fashion, and art from both nations, highlighting unity, friendship, and growing economic cooperation.
The festival, attended by top diplomats and government officials, underscored cultural heritage as a vital bridge connecting people across nations and tribes.
Representing Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Yu Dunhai, Deputy Ambassador Zhou Hongyou emphasized the historical depth of relations between the two countries. He noted that cultural exchanges continue to strengthen mutual understanding and foster development.
“The bonds between China and Nigeria are rooted in history, but they continue to grow stronger through our shared cultural values,” Zhou said.
Organizers of the festival described it as part of ongoing efforts to boost people-to-people diplomacy, while also exploring opportunities in tourism and the creative economy.
