
The late businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, who died yesterday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), has left a will that his remains should be buried at Madinatul Munawwara, Saudi Arabia.
One of the family members, Hajiya Amina Umar Fulani made the disclosure shortly after his demise.
“It has been his wish, if he die, he should be buried in Madina alongside his late wife, who also died two years ago in Madina, Hajiya Amina disclosed.
In this regard, the Kano State council of Ulama, under Sheikh Ibrahim Khaleel has announced its plan to hold Salatil Ghaib, a funeral prayer for a person in absentia who dies in a different location.
According to a statement released by Malam Salisu Gama on behalf of the Council’s Chairman, Malam Ibrahim Khalil, the prayer is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm at the Umar Bin Khaddab Mosque, located in Gyadi-Gyadi, Kano.
Reports however, are indicating that the Saudi Arabian authorities might honour the wish of the business mogul.
